In 2023, after 35 years in the New Age, I had a life changing conversion to Christianity. As a long time artist who painted solely for the purpose of self expression, I began praying for a way to serve God through my art.

One day I came across icons online. I had never seen them before... or if I had, they hadn't made an impact. Until now. In that moment I heard a voice within me say: "you are an iconographer."

I attended my first iconography workshop a few weeks later, fell in love with the mystical process of creating an icon, and never looked back.

I study with The Prosopon School of Iconology, writing icons in the traditional Byzantine style using egg tempera, 24 k gold, and natural pigments.

Writing icons is a form of prayer that helps me direct my focus on God. This sacred practice has changed my life in the most profound ways. Iconography has given my life new meaning and purpose.

Glory to God!

I live in the Monterey Bay Area of California with my husband of 25 years, our blind chihuahua, obese pug, skittish kitty, and three chickens. When I'm not painting you can find me acting in the theatre or singing in the choir.

In order to represent the Face of Christ, one ought to seek His Face with a fervent heart.
